The NSPCC is once again teaming up with the hit children’s television show In the Night Garden for the charity’s annual Picnic Party.
Picnic parties will be taking place across the country during National Picnic Week, running from June 16 to 24, with families, playgroups and nurseries hosting events in their gardens, local parks and community spaces.
There is still time to join in on the fun by going to the NSPCC website and signing up for a free information pack, which includes all the tips and advice you need to throw a great picnic while raising funds for NSPCC.
There are also downloadable activities to add a little bit of In the Night Garden magic to your picnic, including pin the blanket on Iggle Piggle and a Pontipine Hunt!
Simple ways to fundraise include asking for a small donation from Picnic Party attendees (suggested £5), as well as selling cakes and providing activities on the day of the event.
The money raised from the In the Night Garden Picnic Parties will go towards supporting the NSPCC in its work to keep children safe from abuse and neglect.
As a special thank you for fundraising to support the NSPCC, some special In the Night Garden prizes will be sent out following the event, including DVDs, magazines and backpacks.
Victoria Kellaway, NSPCC Fundraising Manager, said: “We’re really excited to be teaming up with In the Night Garden again for another year of Picnic Party! It’s a fun and easy way to spend time with your little ones and friends, whilst raising money to help keep children safe.
“We’d like to thank In the Night Garden’s owner, DHX Brands, for providing us with prizes to give to our supporters holding their own Picnic Parties.”
