WICKED, the spectacular West End and Broadway musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, will begin performances at the Liverpool Empire in just 7 days. With an incredible 60,000 tickets already sold, the best remaining ticket availability is currently at Monday-Wednesday evening performances and mid-week matinees. There is also still good availability at extra matinee performances on Thursday 8 March and Thursday 29 March at 2.30pm.

“The gravity-defying ‘Wizard of Oz’ prequel” (Time Out) will play for four weeks only from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 31 March 2018. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Liverpool Empire Box Office, online at www.atgtickets.com/Liverpool or by phone on 0844 871 3017.

The 2018 UK & Ireland Tour of WICKED recently opened in Bristol where it has already broken Box Office records and earned rave reviews: “★★★★★ You could be in a Broadway theatre! Wicked is one of the best touring productions ever to come to the city” (Bristol Post), “an absolutely fantastic show and, for staging alone, one of the best I have ever seen” (North Somerset Times) and “one of the best musicals I have ever seen and a must-see for all” (Chew Valley Gazette).

WICKED features Amy Ross as Elphaba, Helen Woolf as Glinda, Aaron Sidwell (best known as ‘Steven Beale’ in EastEnders) as Fiyero, Steven Pinder (best known as ‘Max Farnham’ in Brookside) as The Wizard & Doctor Dillamond, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Emily Shaw as Nessarose and Iddon Jones as Boq. Nikki Bentley is Standby for Elphaba.

WICKED is already the 15th longest running show in West End theatre history and is now in its 12th year at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, where it continues an open-ended run. Around the world, WICKED has been seen by almost 55 million people in 16 countries and won over 100 major awards, including ten theatregoer-voted WhatsOnStage Awards (winning ‘Best West End Show’ on three occasions) and two Olivier Audience Awards.

Based on the acclaimed, best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire that ingeniously re-imagines the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, WICKED tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two sorcery students. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. Acclaimed as “a thrilling theatrical experience with brains, heart and courage” (Metro), WICKED transports audiences to a stunningly re-imagined world of Oz, providing wonders beyond your imagination…

WICKED has music and lyrics by multi Grammy and Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Disney’s Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Enchanted and, for DreamWorks, The Prince of Egypt) and is based on the novel ‘Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West’ by Gregory Maguire and adapted for the stage by Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life). Musical staging is by Tony Award-winner Wayne Cilento and the production is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello.

WICKED is produced around the world by Marc Platt, Universal Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone. Executive Producer (UK & Ireland) Michael McCabe.

Saw it in London and you can keep it..... Fine for Kids that's it.

Bigger problem though is most London West End productions are watered down when they get up North and this won't be any different.

    But if it's your thing?????
