Last year Britain became the first G7 country to honour its commitment to set aside 0.7% of its nation income for foreign aid but this figure is set to fall by around 700m due to economic figures released in last months budget. The UK is one of only six countries, along with Denmark, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden which met UN targets to keep foreign aid at or above 0.7% of gross national income.
