Did you witness an incident at the ticket barriers at Liverpool Central station on Sunday, 28 May, at around 5.30pm?

A female member of station staff was assaulted by a man who attempted to get through the barriers without using a ticket.

When he was asked to produce his ticket, he became abusive and grabbed her arm. Then, when she asked him to remove his hand, he instead tightened his grip.

PC Victoria Hodson, investigating officer, said: “We will not tolerate any form of violence or aggression towards station staff who are simply doing their job. “

Officers would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV images as they believe he can help with their investigation.

PC Hodson added: “If you know the man in the CCTV image, please get in touch.”
