Police want to identify two men after a taxi driver was racially abused in Poulton.

Police were called around 12.45am on February 3 following reports of a public order offence.

Three men had earlier been collected by a taxi driver in Poulton town centre. The driver, a 33-year-old man, was concerned about the behaviour of one of the men and asked the group to get out near the taxi rank in Blackpool Old Road.

The driver has then been racially abused inside the taxi, with further comments made as the group got out of the vehicle. The men then made off from the scene.

Following CCTV enquiries, police would like to speak to these men, pictured, in connection with the investigation.

PC Chris Wilding, of Lancashire Police, said: “An investigation is underway after a man was racially abused in Poulton.

“We are appealing for information and are particularly keen to speak to these two men.

“We hope someone recognises them. If you can help, please contact police immediately.”
