Traffic is being disrupted on Preston New Road due to a protester climbing on top of a lorry.

Anti-fracking campaigners have been at the roadside for weeks in protest of plans to drill for shale gas.

It follows the verdict of ministers to give energy firm Cuadrilla permission to frack on the Fylde, taking the decision away from Lancashire County Council who rejected the plans.

Police say a contraflow is now in operation around the site to manage the traffic.

The high court in Manchester will hear two cases on Wednesday that pit Sajid Javid, the communities secretary, against protesters who oppose the fracking at Preston New Road and Rosacre Wood.
