Detectives investigating a murder in Blackpool have charged a man.



Police were called by the Ambulance Service around 10:15am on Monday (November 27th) following reports a woman had been assaulted at a flat on Topping Street.

Emergency services attended and the victim was found with a number of injuries. Lisa Chadderton, 44, from Blackpool, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

A post-mortem examination has revealed the cause of death to be strangulation and stab wounds.

Mark Tindill, 56, of Topping Street, Blackpool, has been charged with murder and has been remanded to appear at Blackpool Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Thursday, November 30th).

A 24-year-old man from Kent arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released with no charges. Police are now satisfied he had no involvement in Mrs Chadderton’s death.
