Four fire engines from across Blackpool have been called out to a blaze at a derelict building this morning.



Crews attended the fire at the former Dinmore pub on Dinmore Ave at around 4:30 am.

Officers say they believe the fire was started deliberately.

An investigation will now be launched.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue released this statement:

Four fire engines and crews (two from Blackpool, one from South Shore and one from Bispham) responded to a fire in a two storey detached derelict building, formerly the Dinmore pub. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hosereel and a main jet to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately. There were no casualties. Police notified of the suspected arson.
