The parents of a murdered Blackpool nurse have been to Downing Street with a petition calling for stalkers to be put on a register.



Jane Clough was stalked before being killed by her ex partner Jonathan Vass in 2010, while he was on bail for raping her.

The 26-year-old was stabbed 71 times by Vass, as she walked through a car park near to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The ambulance technician was given a minimum of 30 years for Jane's murder.

Now a petition with 130,000 signatures, calling for a new a register to monitor stalkers, has been handed in to number 10.

Her parents, John and Penny Clough, are ambassadors for national stalking advocacy service Paladin and have been campaigning for the register since 2014.
