Police are appealing for information following a collision in Blackpool.



Around 11am yesterday (Tuesday, October 3) a Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with a parked Subaru Impreza in a car park close to Halfords Garage off Vicarage Lane

The driver of the Vauxhall, an 82-year-old man from Blackpool, fell ill at the scene having suffered a suspected cardiac arrest. He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment and is currently in a poorly but stable condition.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Sgt Steve Hardman, of Lancashire Police’s Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Blackpool.

“An 82-year-old man has been left in a poorly condition in hospital and we want to establish exactly what has happened.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the driver in his vehicle prior to the collision or who have witnessed the collision between the two vehicles.”
