One pot will be plenty for local residents as Formby Library hosts the latest in special series of free community meals and workshops on 13 and 14 June.



If you have a glut of ingredients that you need to use or fantastic personal recipes that the world is missing out on, the Fairland Collective of professional artists, are inviting you to be part of the One Pot Project in Formby Library to cook a meal for your local community. Community meal

Following the success of a recent one pot community meal at Crosby Library, Sefton Council’s Library Service and the Fairland Collective are extending the event to two days, where anyone taking part can enjoy both days or pick one that suits them.

On Tuesday 13 June, there will be a foraging and history walk, pasta making at Formby Library, a worker’s lunch before making vinegars, cordials and table cloths.

Participants are expected to meet at Formby Library at 10:45am in order to leave to forage food at 11am, although they can drop in to the library at any time of the day.

On Wednesday 14 June, there will be a talk on beekeeping and observation hive, making beeswax, corzetti pasta making followed by cook book collection and publishing.

For those wishing to take part, they can to be at Formby Library any time during the day but should be there for 11am to enjoy the full day of activities.

This unique event will give local residents of all ages insight into all aspects of food production, from how produce is made to getting the best from your ingredients to create delicious, nutritious meals.

The partnership between the Fairland Collective and Sefton Library Service is part of At The Library, an Arts Council England funded programme of commissions, projects and residencies inviting artists and communities to be creative in Sefton’s libraries.
