I have just been asked by a collector in Ormskirk for some information and value's about two artists
K.Dix and a ship painting water colour
and M.L.Suliman oil painting
When someone just asks you a question like this out of the blue. It makes you think they have been watching too much Antique Road Show programs.
There are millions of artists split into two sections, amateur - professional and then divided again water - oil
most artists have never exhibited their work and most works have never been to auction. So there is no guide price.
Just Tommy the guesser or Billy the fibber.
When you watch the TV shows the experts answers are instant and simultaneous., but in fact the experts have many hours or even days to prepare an answer...... they are all scripted
The only K.Dix artist I can find is a local Merseyside artist from Heswall on the Wirral..
The only painting I can find is one that sold for £150 a painting of a ferry boat on the River Mersey
