1. Keep up payments, pay all bills by their due date
A record of late payments on your current or past credit accounts will lower your score.
2.Ensure you are signed up to the electoral roll
If your not signed up to the electoral roll, then it is highly unlikely you will get credit.

3.Are you credit active
Not having many credit cards or loans can affect your credit score. Lenders are looking for signs that you are capable of repaying money you have borrowed. Consider opening an account and paying off in full at the end of the month, that way you are establishing a credit history.
4.Cancel accounts that are no longer active
Ensure any accounts you no longer use are closed down. This can affect your score as it will lower availiable credit.
5.Stop applying if you have already been rejected
If you have been rejected for credit, don't keep on applying elsewhere as this leaves footprints all over your credit file. Instead obtain a copy of your credit file, to understand the reason you may have been rejected.
