Heavy rainfall across the Fylde Coast has been causing havoc for residents.



Homes in Preesall, Poulton and Thornton-Cleveleys have been flooded as torrential rain pounded the Fylde Coast overnight.
Some people needed to be rescued from their homes by emergency services.
Elsewhere roads turned into lakes as drains couldn't cope with the volume of water.
Residents on Warley Road in Blackpool were using bins to block off traffic to their road after it became impassable.
This resident was helping people who were stranded in the road....

It was all hands on deck as emergency services were stretched. Across Lancashire there were over 70 rescues by Lancashire Fire and Rescue.
Wyre Council were providing sandbags to residents, which ran out, but were soon replensished.
Blackpool Council went out with a team handing out sandbags to the worst hit areas.
Fleetwood MP Cat Smith sez she wants answers from Lancashire County Council....
