Joey Barton will be back in football from this summer - as the new head coach of Fleetwood.



He needs to wait for his ban for breaking betting rules to run out first.The former Manchester City, Newcastle and Rangers midfielder left Burnley a year ago after he was given the punishment.

He'll take over at the Highbury Stadium on the 2nd of June.
John Sheridan who leaves Fleetwood Town took over from Uwe Rosler in February and has guided Town to League One safety after just two defeats during his time in charge. Chairman Andy Pilley said he wouldn't rule out working with Sheridan again in the future.
