Train services cancelled between Liverpool Lime Street and Runcorn Due to damage to the overhead electric wires between Liverpool Lime Street and Runcorn all lines are blocked.

Due to damage to the railway blocking all lines to Liverpool Lime Street, there will be disruption to our services in the area. All services between Liverpool and Euston will start and terminate at Runcorn. Rail replacement coaches will be in operation between Liverpool and Runcorn in both directions, but journeys are expected to take longer than usual. Network Rail is working to fix the problem, but this is expected to take several days, so customers are advised to check before they travel.

Alterations to TransPennine Express Services

Services from Liverpool Lime Street to Newcastle will start from Manchester Victoria, not serving Liverpool Lime Street. Customers from Liverpool should use Merseyrail services from Liverpool Central to Liverpool South Parkway from where connections are available onto services to Huddersfield, Leeds and York. Change at York for services to stations between York and Newcastle.
Services from Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street will terminate at Manchester Victoria, not serving Liverpool Lime Street. Customers are advised to change at Huddersfield for onward connections to Liverpool South Parkway from where connecting services are available to Liverpool Central.
Services from Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough will start from Liverpool South Parkway. Customers from Liverpool should use Merseyrail services from Liverpool Central to Liverpool South Parkway from where connections are available onto services to Huddersfield, Leeds, York and Scarborough.
Services from Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street will terminate at Liverpool South Parkway, not serving Liverpool Lime Street.
Customers travelling to Liverpool are advised to change at Liverpool South Parkway from where connecting services are available to Liverpool Central.
With fewer trains running on this route, services between Liverpool South Parkway and Manchester stations (The train to/from Scarborough) are expected to be very busy, if you are travelling with us today you may find that trains are busier than normal. Please try and keep all seats available for customers.

Replacement coaches will also be in operation between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Lime Street.
