A major Blackpool commuter route is due to partially reopen later this week.

Crossley's bridge on Plymouth Road will be open to traffic on Friday, after being closed since November in a project costing more than £6 million.

There'll still be restrictions until work is fully complete at the end of July.

The 80-year-old steel structure needed replacing due to corrosion.

The work to replace the bridge was carried out in conjunction with Network Rail's work to electrify the train line to Blackpool.
