Uwe Rosler says his side are still searching for consistency as they prepare to face Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Rosler’s side will make their furthest journey of the season – a staggering 650 mile round-trip – to face Derek Adams’ side who were promoted from Sky Bet League Two last season.

With Town sitting 11th in the table after ten games, Rosler says his side are still yet to hit top gear this campaign.

“What I will say is that we have to be as good against the ball as we were against Bradford, and that consistency from one game to another for us is the challenge,” said Rosler.

“I personally have watched three of their games and they are scrapping for their lives. They have a very good fan base, a good stadium which is a good place to go and play football. I think we need to be prepared for a fight, and we have targeted this game to get points.

“We respect the opposition, but have to focus on our own job, and we want to continue from Tuesday as there was a lot of good things from Tuesday.

“I think Derek Adams has gone a good job. Plymouth is a geographically difficult place to get players to – or you have to pay a lot of money. I think he did a good job to get them out of that league and you have to give him time to adapt to a new league and time to the players too. I think he will motivate them and they will be up for it.”

Two players who could be in contention for Saturday’s match are Bobby Grant and Wes Burns, with both scoring in recent games and ready to be called upon if needed.

“The break of two weeks for Bobby did him the world of good,” added Rosler.

“I think he is physically and mentally in the shape that he was in last year. He was one of our better performers against Charlton and was very good against Bradford – he’s back on track.

“I think Wes had a very good game on Tuesday and scored a very good goal and he made the second goal. Wes’ strength is playing on the right side and when we eventually play again with three strikers there is the time for Wes to probably get more chances to play from the start – when he produces a type of performance that he did on Tuesday.

“He’s a confidence player and the goal will do him the world of good.”
