Andy Pilley issues statement for Fleetwood fans making the trip to Charlton on Saturday.

Fleetwood Town Chairman Andy Pilley has urged all Town fans to take part in a minute’s applause on Saturday for Charlton fan Liam Meadows.

Uwe Rosler’s side travel to The Valley for a Sky Bet League One fixture against Charlton Athletic (3pm), with Addicks fans trying to raise awareness after Liam’s passing recently.

Andy Pilley said: “Everyone at Fleetwood Town was saddened to hear the passing of Liam, who has left behind his wife Sarah, young son Louie and the rest of his family and friends.

“I would like to urge all Fleetwood fans to help pay their respects to Liam by joining in a minute’s applause in the 29th minute of our match on Saturday with Charlton.

“I met Charlton fans when we played each other earlier in the season at Highbury and they are a great bunch, so this is the least we can do for them.”

Coach travel for Saturday’s trip to London is HALF PRICE, with the price just £13 for ALL fans.
