Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was injured following a collision in Cleveleys.
Police were called around 6.25am yesterday to reports of an accident in Rossall Promenade.
A Ford Fiesta car had collided with a wall.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old woman from Blackpool, suffered serious injuries to her chest and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for close to four hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
Police are appealing for information following the incident.
Temp Sgt Adam Crossley, of Lancashire Police, said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Cleveleys.
“A woman has been left with serious injuries and we want to establish exactly what happened. We have spoken to a number of people at the scene but if you have any information which might assist with our investigation, please get in touch.”
