Officers from British Transport Police and staff from Merseyrail will be at crossings between Southport and Formby today advising pedestrians and motorists about the dangers of trying to cross when the warning lights are flashing.

They should be telling network rail to invest in a proper system of controlling those barriers so that the spend more time up than they do down

If they're struggling to find something to do I can find them plenty of jobs. Not least of which would be to patrol the town centre and get a grip of the knob heads wrecking our town.
