Construction work due to start on the new junction at Crosby Road North (A565) and South Road has been delayed by a week.

The preliminary works and the diversion of utility services have been completed meaning the main works on widening the junction can now begin.

The work will provide right turn lanes to improve traffic flow through the junction and will create vastly improved pedestrian and cycle facilities along with new street lighting.

Mouchel Consulting, who designed the scheme, will manage the work on site and local contractor Cambrianway will be constructing.

Work will now commence on Monday, April 25.
