    What’s happening?

People travelling in the Liverpool City Region are being urged to plan their journeys and check before they travel ahead of planned industrial action by members of Unite and GMB unions on Arriva bus services and some Stagecoach bus services in October.

Strike action is due to affect some Stagecoach bus services on Monday 23rd October and Monday 30th October.

Strike action is due to affect Arriva bus services on Thursday 19th October, Monday 23rd October & Monday 30th October.

Previously announced strike action on Saturday 14th October and Thursday 19th October affecting Stagecoach services has now been cancelled.

    How you can help

Check timetables and plan your journeys.
Leave more time for your journeys.
Avoid travelling at peak times where possible.
Stick to public transport wherever possible to reduce congestion on key routes in and out of the city centre.
    Consider your alternative travel options.
Speak to your employer about whether there is any flexibility in working times or the possibility of working from home.

    What you need to know

In the first instance, please check the Stagecoach and Arriva websites, before you travel, for the most up to date information.

Thursday 19th, Monday 23rd and Monday 30th October

Information will be made available as soon as possible.

    Rail

Merseyrail and Northern services are not affected. Travellers should note that some of the strike days coincide with the Lime Street station upgrade works. You can find travel information by going online at Network Rail and Merseytravel.
