Blackpool Council is again wishing Blackpool Football Club a huge congratulations for reaching Wembley for the third time in five years.
The Seasiders secured their place at Wembley with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Birmingham City on Wednesday, and Blackpool Council were one of the first to congratulate manager Ian Holloway and his team.
Cllr Fred Jackson, Deputy Leader of the Council and Seasiders' fan himself, said: "Reaching the playoff finals again is a fantasic acheivement. I look forward to the whole town pulling together and showing the team our support.
"Going to Wembley is a wonderful occasion and I one that I'm looking forward to enjoying with thousands of Blackpool residents. I've every confidence that Blackpool will once again have the Premiership football team it deserves.
"On behalf on the council I'd like to congratulate the club, players and manager on a amazing effort, you've done us proud."
Blackpool FC will now contest the play-off final on 19 May against West Ham United and we wish them the best of luck for the game.
