A quantity of suspected stolen jewellery has been recovered and officers are now trying to establish their origins.
Detective Constable Steve Duke said: "Some of this jewellery is very distinctive and could be of significant monetary and sentimental value to those who have lost it.
“If you recognise these items please contact us so that we can verify the rightful owner or owners.”
Anyone who recognises any of these items is asked to call DC Duke on 0151 777 4067 and quote the crime reference number 0516241058, or you can contact 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
