VICTIMS of road traffic collisions will be remembered at a special service in November.

The multi-faith service, to be attended by families and friends, and representatives from the police, fire and rescue, and ambulance services, and local councils, will be held from 11.30am to 1.30pm on Sunday 19 November 2017 at the chapel in Christ Church Precinct, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8RL.

The World Day of Remembrance Service was started in 1993 by UK-based charity RoadPeace. This service is one of thousands being held across the globe to support the families and friends of people killed on the roads, and honours the work of the emergency services. RoadPeace is dedicated to supporting people bereaved and injured in road traffic collisions.

If you would like to attend the service and receive details about the service, directions and free parking please email safertravelteam@lancashire.gov.uk.
