Aughton Park Baptist Church has been supporting Christian charity Caring for Life for a number of years now - and on Saturday members had the chance to visit its annual supporters day along with hundreds of others from all over the country.
Based in Cookridge near Leeds it was founded in 1987 to care for the growing number of homeless folk who were being failed by the system and falling prey to the dangers of drink, drugs and sexual exploitation.
The work has now grown tremendously, something Pastor Bill Bygroves of Bridge Chapel, Liverpool, one of its trustees - and chaplain to LFC - reflected on in his simple address: 'You're dear, He's near, never fear!'
Members of APBC are pictured at the the end of the day before travelling home with Charlton Minicoaches of Burscough.
