Elvis would have been in his element at a public fracking meeting held in Downholland on Saturday...
Aurora Energy Resources sent a number of its top management to the meeting in a bid to calm fears about the planned fracking on the west Lancashire/Sefton border, but many remain to be convinced.
One Formby man told Roger Blaxall that his detailed questions about waste disposal weren’t adequately answered while another lady from a Formby anti fracking group gave short shrift to the questionnaire that she filled in, saying it was far too limited for the amount of detailed questions she had.
Aurora MD Ian Roche had several lengthy conversations with members of the public with copious amounts of information about the plans given on several pop up boards in Downholland Village Hall.
During the morning a BBC North West film crew turned up to cover the meeting; for more on this contentious issue, click here: https://drillordrop.com/2018/01/05/a...st-lancashire/.
