The turbulent war of words over a chaotic Cabinet meeting's been continuing this week.
On Tuesday night, Council leader Ian Moran left the council chamber to boos and cat calls and there's been no let up in comment - diplomatic and otherwise - with QLocal's Roger Blaxall's chatting to local politicians and seasoned observers.
Diplomatically, Ian Moran said on Friday afternoon at a wide ranging media briefing on the new Local Plan - shortly to go out to public consultation: "People's emotions were running high (at the cabinet meeting), fanned by misinformation by someone looking to take advantage of the situation."
No mention there of any names but we all knew who he meant with Coun. Adrian Owens in the frame for his implied criticism.
And yesterday afternoon, this unflattering comment came from a former councillor who's dallied with the idea of joining OWL and said he was 'disgusted' with its stance at the meeting.
Undiplomatically, he described Coun. Owens as 'Sh-one-t stirrer in chief' adding how he sensed trouble after viewing OWL FB posts prior to the meeting.
He's not a great lover of the new Local Plan proposals, either, explaining that he voted through the last one brought in by the Tory administration 'with one hand up his back.'
"It's essential we keep as much green belt as possible and retain the USP's that make the borough the place it is," he added.
