These are the dramatic scenes after the emergency services were called to Aughton last night after a car flipped over on Long Lane.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called at 9.20pm to reports that a car - thought to be a late model Vuaxhall Astra - had overturned near the leafy Red Fold cul de sac, ironically just before a faded SLOW sign on the carriageway.
The incident is another vindication of calls by local parish councillors for folk to drive safely on the busy road; at the June meeting members welcomed news that money had at last been made available for SPID's - the 'smiley/scowly' speed signs - to be installed on Long Lane.
This morning, a Police PR officer confirmed that the driver had received just minor injuries in the crash.

At this point I am driving last gen Volvo XC90 and basically, that was my dream car. The thing is, when it comes to cars, I mostly care about my own and my passengers' safety because I have a family so this car is perfect for me. Basically, I am so concerned about safety issues so I spent a few days browsing through BestCarSeatHUB website to find the best car seat for my younger son. I am really afraid of car accidents because when I was about twenty, I lost two of my best friends in a car accident.
