Children can have fantastic fun at free Junior Rangers Club events organised by West Lancashire Borough Council's Parks and Countryside Ranger Service.

All the Junior Rangers' events start at 2pm. The fun starts on Sunday 2 April when children can join the Council's rangers for themed crafts and activities at the Easter Egg Bands event at Coronation Park, Ormskirk. Meeting point is the park's bowling pavilion.

The next event is the Junior Rangers Easter Springwatch event at Beacon Country Park, Up Holland, on Tuesday 4 April. Youngsters can enjoy themed crafts and activities to take a closer look at the parks wildlife and learn more about the seasonal changes and challenges facing our native plants and animals. Meeting point is the park's visitor centre.

More craft activities take place at the Junior Rangers Easter event at Stanley Coronation Park, Skelmersdale, on Monday 10 April, starting from 2pm at the bowling pavilion. A similar event takes place at Richmond Park, Burscough, on Wednesday 12 April, starting from the park's bowling pavilion.

The Junior Rangers can also enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt on Tuesday 11 April at Beacon Country Park, starting from the visitor centre.

All Junior Rangers events are open to children aged between 5 and 12 years of age (all under 8s require adult supervision throughout the event).

Places must be booked in advance. Booking opens seven days prior to the event. To book, please phone 01695 622794. Please do not try to book onto events through the Rangers' social media pages.
