Report and photos from Steve Kirton
It was all change for West Lancs. MG Owners Club at its first committee meeting of the year with chairman Nigel Malyan deciding that after serving 12 years he was standing down.
The committee voted on the two prospective committee members who’d shown an interest in taking on the position of running the successful car club which for 38 years has catered for enthusiasts owning and enjoying MG's and classic cars in West Lancashire.
And the new Hon chairman is Ralph Greenhalgh seen being presented with the club gavel on the right by our outgoing chairman Nigel, with congratulations to Ralph on his new appointment - Nigel’s now changed down a gear and will be taking a less demanding role on the committee. Congratulations, too to Tom Harrison who has joined the committee and takes over as membership officer to replace the role Ralph’s left behind.
And also a very BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Cam Cunningham who was voted in as Hon. Secretary for another three years, making it 18 years in office for the club - and still counting.
