A brilliant day of golf raised £1500 recently at a Bickerstaffe club.
Some 51 people played at Mossock Hall to raise funds for the 'We Love Manchester' emergency fund appeal, which helps people injured or hurt by the terror attack.
The event - organised by Bryan Morley and Martin Flynn - saw all the golfers wear the same charity T shirts sponsored by Fiddlers Lancashire crisps in Rufford.
A raffle was also held with prizes donated by local businesses with money raised also going to the fund; the golf day raised £900, and the raffle £602.
Mike McCombe, landlord of The Hop Vine in Burscough, donated all proceeds made from a keg of beer at the pub and had collection buckets there to raise £1,100.
Bryan said: “The golf day was brilliant.
We had 50 men and one woman taking part. There was a presentation there before everyone enjoyed a buffet at the Hop Vine.
"Many people commented that it was one of the best golf days that they had played on.”
