Police are appealing for information following a motorcycle collision on the M6 in Lancaster.



At around 9.35am on Sunday, June 18 a Suzuki motorbike was travelling north between Junction 33 and 34 when it collided with a Skoda Yeti which was towing a caravan.

The motorcycle rider, a 38 year old man, suffered injuries to his shoulder, ribs and head and was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital. The passenger, a 50 year old woman, also suffered cuts and bruises and an injury to her pelvis. Both remain in hospital and their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The carriageway was closed for two and a half hours to allow for an investigation to take place.

PS Dave Hurst of the Road Policing Unit said: “This collision has left two people with serious injuries and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened to contact us.”
