The borough council’s been criticised for how it highlights the non-emptying of bins - especially when one Ormskirk pensioner had simply forgotten to affix her green bin sticker.
The lady from Douglas Drive - who has asked not be named - registered her bin with the council and expected it to be emptied on Wednesday.
Later that day when she came to take it back in she found this strident sticker stuck on.
"I was shocked to say the least,” she told Qlocal reporter Roger Blaxall.
“Surely the bin crew could have checked with the council which bins could and couldn't be emptied.
"It left a bad taste in my mouth."

They "check with the council" by looking for the permit sticker you place on your bin. To manually check an ever-changing list of permitted bins is not a good use of their time.
