There have been calls for a radical solution to the continuing problems caused by accidents at the busy Fiveways junction in Ormskirk.
Last night, a minor RTA at tea time between an Astra van and Peugeot 108 saw parts of the town all but grind to a halt with Southport bound traffic worse affected.
The bump happened at around 6.30pm with Police, a paramedic and ambulance crew attending; traffic was still stationary on Southport Road at around 9pm.
One radical solution suggested by two QLocal readers from Aughton and Ormskirk who regularly use the busy junction - the installation of a mini roundabout there.
"And while they're at it, the County Council should also consider one at the end of Green Lane and Hayfield Road," said a plumber from Ormskirk.

The quickest solution would be to alternate the Southport road lights have them only green 1 section at a time as most of the rtc's are caused by the staggered timing allowing traffic from Southport to turn right towards Liverpool, and then releasing the Ormskirk side after about 15 seconds, hence the crossover traffic, crashes will keep happening, It's not rocket science
