The emergency services spent an hour at a crash scene after a pensioner overturned his car on an Ormskirk main road yesterday lunchtime.
The drama - at the junction of County Road and Yew Tree Road - saw LFRS extricate the elderly driver from his car which had ended up on its roof after the accident.
This morning, a Police PR officer told QLocal: "We were called around 12.45pm yesterday to reports of a collision on Yew Tree Road in Ormskirk.
"A silver Ford car had overturned close to the junction with County Road.
"The driver, a man in his 70s, suffered facial injuries and was taken to Southport Hospital by paramedics for treatment."
