Police have been out and about in Ormskirk town centre recently with wildlife officers visiting local hot spots where youths congregate in a bid to nip any trouble in the bud...
QLocal's Roger Blaxall spotted the officers at Morrison's in Ormskirk where youths turn its car park into a impromptu football pitch late at night and also gather en masse in the store which the shop security officer said can be quite intimidating.
Saddest sight of all has been to see young lads - all of 14 or so - walking round parts of leafy Aughton with their hoods pulled low over their faces to avoid any detection; what have they got to hid apart from some acne?
Time was when the County Council had a youth bus which parked up at Coronation park - local Government cuts have put paid to that, more's the pity.

Does Ormskirk have detached youth workers on the streets or even a Youth Club?
