West Lancashire officers have dealt with 142 incidents during the last 24 hours.
They included 15 violent offences, five thefts, three criminal damage incidents - which relate to a car window smashed on Lambourne, Skem. - fencing damaged on Square Lane, Burscough and stones thrown at a passing motorist travelling in their vehicle on Stannanought Road, Skem.
There have been burglaries committed on Appley Lane, Appley Bridge in which a window was left insecure on a residential property and entry gained and the home owners car stolen with keys, and a pedal cycle stolen from inside a garage on Tongbarn, Skem.
Officers have also dealt with 21 incidents of anti social behaviour, including motorcycle nuisance.
The recent hot weather has been welcome however it does bring out the opportunists who'll try their luck when they see an open window in a car or house; please remain vigilant and don't leave windows ajar unless you are in.
If you see anything suspicious please call 101.
