Someone thought it was funny - but members of the Ormskirk Community Partnership aren't laughing after the smile was literally ripped off the face of the jolly Ormskirk Gingerbread man.
He's now been removed from his town centre plinth and is currently in the old LCC Information Office at the bus station while a decision is made on replacing his smile and remounting him on Moor St.
Phil McConnell and designer Kevan Wiggins are pictured after the discovery of this act of mindless vandalism last week.
