On Thursday, Santanderās Ormskirk branch is hosting an anti fraud day, as āTake Fiveā warns people of the risk of fraud and scams.
Its aim? To educate people about fraudsters - and urge them to stop and think before making any decisions to disclose their personal information.
Natalie Davis, branch director at Ormskirk told QLocal yesterday: āāTake Fiveā is a national campaign offering straight-forward, impartial advice to help everyone protect themselves from preventable financial fraud.ā
Staff are joining the local community and police to better educate local residents and raise awareness of the subject; Police officers and PCSOs will be at the branch to support the initiative and speak to residents about ways to help combat fraud and give helpful advice.
āFraud is evolving massively every day and we are here to help protect our customers by educating them in ways to identify fraudsters and prevent being a victim of scams,ā explained Natalie.
āWe would like to encourage as many people to TAKE 5 and attend the branch to hopefully gain insight on ways of protecting their finances in the future,ā she added.
