On Thursday, Santanderā€™s Ormskirk branch is hosting an anti fraud day, as ā€˜Take Fiveā€™ warns people of the risk of fraud and scams.

Its aim? To educate people about fraudsters - and urge them to stop and think before making any decisions to disclose their personal information.

Natalie Davis, branch director at Ormskirk told QLocal yesterday: ā€œā€™Take Fiveā€™ is a national campaign offering straight-forward, impartial advice to help everyone protect themselves from preventable financial fraud.ā€

Staff are joining the local community and police to better educate local residents and raise awareness of the subject; Police officers and PCSOs will be at the branch to support the initiative and speak to residents about ways to help combat fraud and give helpful advice.

ā€œFraud is evolving massively every day and we are here to help protect our customers by educating them in ways to identify fraudsters and prevent being a victim of scams,ā€ explained Natalie.

ā€œWe would like to encourage as many people to TAKE 5 and attend the branch to hopefully gain insight on ways of protecting their finances in the future,ā€ she added.
