Ormskirk Police have stepped in to defuse a row over parking in the town centre.
Tempers flared recently off Leyland Way after too many cars for too few spaces saw words exchanged between a charity shop manager and staff at Shake it Up which now employs lunchtime delivery drivers.
Town centre bobby Mick Ginn stepped in with a letter explaining the local parking regulations and helpful map of where people can and can't park. It seems that the Borough Council – which owns the land - is willing to negotiate parking permission for interested parties although this will incur a charge, with the ball now in the parkers’ court.
"It got quite heated at times," said one QLocal reader who saw the incident.
"Thankfully folk have seen sense after PC Ginn's words of advice."
