The Rotary Club of Southport Links has recently bought a heart defibrillator for use by members of the public when someone has suffered a cardiac arrest.
This was purchased in memory of Rotarian Neil McBride, who died suddenly last November. Contributions towards the machine were received from the family and friends of Neil, and fellow-members of the Rotary Club.
The original site chosen for the machine has fallen through, so Rotarians are now urgently looking for a position on the outside of business or public premises so the defibrillator can help save lives. The Rotary Club will get any necessary planning permissions and check and maintain the machine at regular intervals once it has been installed. The cabinet is approximately 40cm high by 33cm wide, and 12cm deep.
If you know anywhere where this might be positioned, please contact Rotarian Nick Philpott at nick.philpott54@googlemail.com
