And none of the areas around these premises have any CCTV cameras fitted, that may have captured any of this mindless vandalism ? More cutbacks I suppose. No Police,No witnesses around, and NO working security cameras either.

The police were probably too busy enjoying themselves on dodgems. Cutbacks indeed!

Not forgetting the numerous bus shelters I’ve seen with smashed glass on my “rounds” around Southport.

The Atkinson has CCTV and the report mentions a witness.

yeah, how dare they take a 5 minute break.
Do none of these businesses or surrounding businesses have their own CCTV?
I find it hard to believe there is nothing caught on camera. Maybe even car dash cams?

What a crass comment, you refer to police officers who had been in attendance at a week long fair enjoying a 5 minute break at the end of the fair on the dodgems, had an incident arouse they were on site, no comparison what so ever!

Notice that our wonderful local elected representatives are once again jostling for pole position to make " concerned " comments about this pathetic state of affairs.
Since a lot of this damage is in the vicinity of The Rathous one would think they would show some sign of " concern " or maybe " action " even ?
Dream on.

When is Sefton Council going to install more cameras in the town? As someone else has already said, I noticed bus shelters were smashed too. The police can't be everywhere. The police were chasing a car driving at high speed around Ainsdale on Monday night. The scumbag driver of the car must have been going about 80 - 100mph down Station Road in Ainsdale, towards the station. Looked like the police had lost him at that point, but I could hear all the sirens going. Give them some credit. They are doing their best with less resources and staff. If we had more CCTV cameras the little s**ts would have some deterrent. We need cameras on all major roads too in the town - so that any criminals driving in and out of the area will have their vehicle registrations recorded too.

Tesco Express in Ainsdale village had its windows smashed on Wednesday night too. Apparently, they stole from the store too.
The bus stops near the roundabout in Ainsdale were smashed too.
What is Sefton Council doing about all this? I pay £ 2000 per year in Council Tax - so CCTV is the least we could expect.

Why do people think that CCTV is the answer to these idiots?
The cost of CCTV very expensive plus you need to monitor it,then these idiots put their hoods up.
Don't blame the council for something that there may not be an answer for. Execute 1 or 2 , that may determine them.????
