Errol Parkinson who lives in the derelict house on Scarisbrick New Road was evicted and locked out by officers acting for Sefton Council today.
The Council did put up legal notices but these have been ripped down.
Sefton Council have been trying to get Mr Parkinson to clear the land since 2008 to no avail.
Mr Parkinson said: “They don’t need to clear it. I am going to clear it myself.
In May 2014 the Council remover part of the roof after fears that it was going to fall onto the sub-station next door.
Officers from Sefton Council arrived with the police this morning to a property on the corner of Scarisbrick New Road and Chambres Road. The property although occupied has fallen into disrepair. The occupant is a Mr Parkinson and the owner is a man called Mr Sumner.
Pic below from forum member Delbertious
United Utilities have instigated the work over concerns of damage to their sub station which is next door. Contractors made access for a cherry pickers to make the building safe .
Mr Parkinson said that the council were breaking the law by disturbing nesting birds in the roof space.
Mr Parkinson is extremely angry with Sefton and the Police alleging that they have been harassing him for over 20 years.

I feel for the guy in only that he seems ill. He may come across fairly intellectual, lucid, in possession of all the facts etc, however to me it seems there are a "few bricks missing off the hod" and I'm not talking about the house.
In no way would any normal person put up with the state of the house or that way of living for so long.
"Every mans castle" and "possession nine tenths of the law" and all that but this has gone on too long now.

Half the town knows him he collects vinyl records and is well known in the rare vinyl scene,He is a decent guy and a graduate of two university's and very clever but very eccentric,he is the victim of a council sponsored land grab, something we will all get used to under a Marxist council and government,I expect at the bottom of it is a greedy councilor waiting to get his hands on the property, typical sefton, the fact is they could of offered him a grant to fix the houses problems,he more than qualifies for one .Errol has many times said in the past that councilors where after his property to develop it and make a fast buck in the process. As i understand the council are on very shakey legal ground and i hope Errol get legal council and litigates,As it is abuse of power.[QUOTE=paulollie;6625706]I feel for the guy in only that he seems ill. Here you go again spurting your crap,First of all Errol is actually there with the owners permission,Thats definite fact and secondly he has lived there for over 20 years,That makes him the legal occupier of the property and entitled to claim it as his own.But you wouldn't know that about Errol because your not from southport are you,i hope he reads this and goes to a solicitor as he has a cast iron claim .Yes we know your not a caring socialist quite the opposite your one of Corbyn and momentum's Marxist agitators sent to cause and exploit deviations and conflict in society in order to impose a Marxist state,,Shame its not working..

Have heard that the house and the one next door in SNR are going to be demolished and new houses built on the site.

Where on Earth do you dream up your quasi-political garbage? clearly the property is in a dangerous condition, certainly unfit for habitation, the guy who lived there is also clearly not the owner, I would imagine there has been much discussion with both owner and "tenant/occupier" over time to get this problem resolved, the only surprise is that the council held off as long as they did before taking action
It would also appear that the owner has now put the property up for sale, clearly the council have not committed some land or property grab and in fact the eviction could well be on behalf of the owner in order to sell, but of course in your little brain this action is down to Socialist/Marxist political activity.
Yes the guy needs help, but equally I have no doubt that offers have been consistently refused.

Point now is, where's he going to live? It's not exactly best weather for sleeping in the back of a car.....Sefton have deliberately shut him out in the cold, so Sefton should pay for hotel/provide immediate alternative housing on the same rent-free basis like he had!

.....
There are several cars in that wilderness .....
I am really surprised that it has taken this long for some action to be taken.
