Boiler
Hi there, I thought my boiler had come to the end of its useful life however I came across an offer on the SSE website, they fixed it up as promised and now it is as good as new, perhaps you might give them a try before outlaying a lot of money.

We went for a Veissmann because it had a good name, good reviews and a good guarantee ( i think ours is 10 years).
Valliant also has a good reputation as does Worcester Bosch.
Basically all the German ones are good and all the plumbers and engineers we spoke to recommended them.
We were told to avoid the cheapo ones made in Italy and France as they are basically rubbish.
Vokera, Halstead, Ideal and Ferolli all all poor performers.
You do get a better boiler for your money if you pay a little more. Ours was fitted by Ainsdale Gas.

Agreed, we have a Vaillant and when it was changed about 5 years ago it was a toss up between a Vaillant or a WB.
Most combi boilers will cope with the “Heating” load, the 24, 28, 30, 35 kw ratings is more to do with how much Hot Water they will deliver, the higher the output the better the HW flow rate,
Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

We had our boiler exchanged to an Ariston Clas HE Evo,all work carried out by Dave Langler and Son in February 2017,old boiler was taken out, replaced and new boiler was fully installed and working within 6 hours, and have had no problems at all, with plenty of hot water, heated very quickly, and central heating heats up quickly as well. And would Fully recommend,Tele 01704-536300.Costs approximately somewhere between £1400 to £1500 to have a replacement installed, depending on pipework and placement of the boiler being fitted.
