MP Rosie Cooper is alerting local charity and voluntary groups to grant funding available from the People’s Health Trust.
People’s Health Trust is an independent charity investing in local communities to help create a society without health inequalities.
They are inviting local groups and organisations with great ideas to make their communities even better places to live, to apply for funding to turn their ideas into reality.
Using money raised by Health Lottery North West, People’s Health Trust has already opened Active Communities in parts of Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire.
Active Communities is a funding programme for community groups and not-for-profit organisations, with an income of less than £350,000 a year or an average of £350,000 over two years, seeking investment of between £5,000 and £50,000 for projects lasting up to two years.
West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said: “I’m encouraging any groups in West Lancashire to consider bidding for funding through this project to help their current work in supporting local residents or the community, or from anyone who has a new idea they wish to pursue.
“Groups can be of any size or makeup, even a small group from an estate or village who want to help improve the lives of those around them.”
