We had 4 fellas come in through my back door a few weeks ago and stole all my camera gear, rings, lap top etc etc. The police havent caught them yet, I soooooo hope it was one of those fellas that your doggy munched on.

Hope your wife is ok, it's good to see a bit of instant justice, I hope you recover from your ordeal quickly, what a brill dog !.

Only last week my friend's house was broken into, at night...while they were in bed. The thieves pried the front door open and stole various items from ground floor; including car keys and the car.

Home invasion has got to be one of the most invasive forms of theft. Fortunately the family dealt with it well, mainly because the burglars didn't come upstairs, and their young son is unaware of the incident.

I hope the scumbag your Max caught was one of the group that burgled my friends. And I hope it's front teeth that went missing.

I trust the cops were "understanding" about any injuries the burglar received?

This kind of incident is happening with worrying frequency at the mo. Time for all to take extra care with home security...even before going to bed.

Thought that things were bad in the 80s recession with burglaries reaching record levels, but these days the prospects of confronting occupants seems to be no deterrent to the lowlifes.

Its going to carry on too ! We found out who robbed us.. told the police and the theives are still on the streets. Also found out these gits are responsible for a lot of other similar agrivated burglaries in Southport.

I have no idea what is going on ? The officer dealing with this has gone on holiday for a week.
We havent been updated with any arrests yet.

If nothing is done then Im going taking it to the press.

Oh, I would do, judging my the incompetence of the police round here, it is most likely a certainty not a maybe, nobody did **** all when my house got robbed either, when I gave addresses for the perpetrator of the crime (and yes, he is known to the police), they couldn't actually find him. He was in prison at 16 for GBH and was on CS at the time of the crime, and they appeared to have no clue whatsoever as to where he was staying, despite him reporting to probation... useless donkeys.

What a shame Max wasn't really hungry. Maybe then he'd have eaten the ******* too!
