Barry Womersley
12 years ago I started a thread on this forum about the Southport band Rhythm and Blues Incorpirated which eventually resulted in my coming down to Southport and seeing Barry Womersley and his band play in the Town Hall , and afterwards I was privileged to meet and talk with him in the bar in the Lynwood Hotel.
I was saddened to read today on the internet that he passed away five years ago ... I know it is late to offer condolences to all who knew him, but I figured better late than never. I enjoyed my chat with him that evening, and I will never forget his incredible guitar playing with Rhythm and Blues Incorporated when they played in the Place Jazz Club in Edinburgh back in 1963.

Dead?
Good news. Barry is still in the land of the living.

OMG ...I was googling "Barry Womersley" for some info about the bands he had played in and one of the first hits I got was this ...http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.u...rry_WOMERSLEY/
My sincerest apologies for this faux pas, and I am delighted to learn that he is still very much with us ....phew ....

Bloody hell that's frightening. My brother played in the same band and loved listening to the music.
