Bbc northwest tonight.
The above programme is mis titled , it should be called BBC MANCHESTER TONIGHT , every evening you may get a snippet of news in the northwest other than that it's all Manchester . For weeks now we've had a build up to the anniversary of the bombing of the Manchester arena , now I sympathise with those who lost thier lives in that cowardly attack but do we really have to have it rammed down our throats .
Is there ever any other news in the NW for gods sake .
REST IN PEACE THE 96.

Funnily enough I know a bloke from Kirkby who's wife was seriously injured in the bombing picking their daughter up. It affected people from all over not just Manchester. Were you not bothered about nightly reports from the Hillsborough Inquest 27/28 years after it happened.

Because it is a fair point. You were the one who was knocking the commemoration of a tragedy just because it happened in Manchester.

Just think about that, and how you would react if somebody said that about the reporting of the annual Hillsborough disaster commemorations.
A quick look at google news summaries shows that there isn't actually anything newsworthy happening in Liverpool at the moment, unless you think Ryan Giggs' views on the Gareth Bale threat are more important than remembering the lives of those young people.

That is a disgusting comment, you wouldn't have said that if it was about remembering the Liverpool tragedy.
People from all over the NW were directly affected by the Manchester bombing including 2 girls from Tarleton whose parents, friends & relatives might read this forum.
You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.

Grassroots has a point about the programme being Manchester centric.
Appalling subject to use as an example though.
It was the same in April over the derby matches on 7 April. Everything was focused on United vs City, very little about Liverpool vs Everton.

It was only a year ago-such an horrific event aimed at children in a building many Manchester parents have taken their children to a concert to in the past.
Part of the media centric encouragement is to change the direction of depression grief anger and hate caused by the fallout after the tragedy.
Manchester is finding recovery harder than London.
Race hate crime is truly shocking.
The song 'Don't Look Back In Anger' sufficed in the aftermath shock even non violent non racist reasonable people need some help to carry on regardless.

22 people lost theirs lives and countless more suffered terrible/life changing injuries in a terrorist attack, is it really too much to ask to accept media coverage will be at a high during the anniversary, more so the 1st anniversary.
Just how long do you put on lives before it is no longer of importance to put aside trivia to show how a community is once again coming together in their time of grief, if anything of such magnitude happens during this period of remembering it will be given as much media coverage as required.
